If you have never used an old antique hand crank sewing machine.. or seen one work..you will be pleased to see something beautiful, and simple…that WORKS..so simple, so amazingly pleasantly simple..and so pretty. And while you sew, you will be sewing “green.” The public and non workshop participants are welcome to come and watch these machines in action, and maybe try out a little project of your own…all ages are welcome. And these lovely machines are for sale!
Projects are:
- 1800s/1900s Aprons – cost is $25 and please allow 2 hours
- Reusable Shopping bags – cost is $12 and please allow 1-1.5 hours
- 1800s/1900s Small drawstring purse – cost is $6 and please allow 1 hour
All projects are ready to sew and you are given full instructions and help. (This means that the fabrics are washed, cut to size, and pressed so that your finished project is ready to use or wear)
You will learn to sewing, finish seams, applique, top stitching edges, pleating, and more!
