(Rancho Dominguez, CA)—The Dominguez Rancho Adobe Museum will open its gardens to visitors for docent guided garden tours beginning this spring. Housed upon its seventeenth acre grounds, visitors are invited to tour the beautiful gardens with our career nurseryman, arborist and current Rose Garden Curator, Michael Horibe. Explore hidden grottos, orchards, take a peaceful stroll through the Rose Garden, Cactus Garden and discover the beauty and serene tranquility of our gardens. The tour will present an overview of the historic Rancho San Pedro and the Dominguez Adobe. Gardening topics covered will include: native plants, plant diversity and its role in the ecosystem, natural dye plants and their historic uses, the concept of composting, herbs and their historic uses. Enjoy seeing and learning about the various flower plants, succulents, and trees thriving all over the museum grounds planted in the early 1900s by Gregorio Del Amo, husband of Susana Dominguez. Visit more than once as our gardens are always changing with different flowers blooming throughout the year.
The Dominguez Rancho Adobe Museum is pleased to open its gardens to visitors for docent guided garden tours beginning this spring. Docent guided tours will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019; Saturday, June 29, 2019; Saturday, September 28, 2019; Saturday, December 14, 2019 from 12pm to 1pm.
