School Tours

Our school tours are fun, engaging, one-of-a-kind experiences for schoolchildren of all ages.  Our unique environment invites students to fully experience the history of early California. Museum tours are designed to meet the needs of classroom teachers by addressing local, state, and national history and social studies standards and frameworks. Each tour is age-appropriate and relevant to classroom curriculum.

Our volunteer docents conduct tours on Tuesday through Friday mornings all year round. All school tours start at 9:30am and can accommodate up to 80 students (max) per day.  We also offer a covered picnic area where students can enjoy their lunches after the tour.

    Guided Tours of the Adobe Museum are Offered (Adobe is only open for guided tours):
    • First Thursday and Friday of Each Month
    • Every Saturday, Sunday, and Wednesday
    • Tours are at 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm
    • No Reservations Needed for Parties Under 10
    • Tours del adobe están disponibles en español el segundo domingo de cada mes
    • Adobe tours available in Spanish the 2nd Sunday of each month
