This cemetery is the final resting place for a small number of Civil War soldiers. The original tombstones engraved with their names are located in a specially designated area near a flagpole and stone cannon of the Grand Army of the Republic. These soldiers were relocated from a nearby cemetery where the Banning Museum is located.
