Speaker Series: Locals Tell the Story on Saturday, 7/25, 1pm to 3pm

This is the 2nd installment in our summer speaker series and this talk features to topics: Filipinos in Carson and the South Bay and Hawaiians in Los Angeles.

The talk will be given by Florante Peter & Roselyn Estepa Ibanez, Elizabeth “Nani” Nihipali, Lessa Kanani’opua Pelayo, Christian Hanz Lozada, Cheryl Villareal Roberts, and Lorelie Santonil Olaes.

There will be the talk, Q&A and a light refreshments afterwards.  Both books will be available for sale and for author signature.  There is a suggested donation of $4.00.

Aquaponics Workshop on July 25th, 10am to 12pm

Fight poor quality food by becoming your food source!

Aquaponics is all about growing fish and vegetables in an attractive, productive, integrated system, right in your own backyard.  Fish and garden water cycling work together.  You can save water, saver groceries, eat healthy.

Teach your kids and family how to grow food

This is a free workshop!

Summer Saturday: Mosaics Workshop on 7/18 @ 1pm

Bring your children and family to the Rancho this Saturday to the 2nd Summer Saturday, where people will learn to make their very own mosaic masterpiece.  There is a suggested $4 donation.

The next Summer Saturday will be 8/15 – Herbs and More – learn about herbs and how to grow your own. Everyone will get to plant and grow their own in an 1800s style jar.  The workshop will be at 1pm.

    • Every Saturday, Sunday, and Wednesday
    • Tours are at 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm
    • No Reservations Needed for Parties Under 10
