Reenacting Workshop on March 3rd

March 3rd is our 1st reenacting workshop.  For those interested in learning how to re-enact a person from the past, this is the workshop for you!  Learn from some of the very best in the reenactment world.  You will learn how to do dances from 1800s, how soldiers lived in the 1800s, how to act and how to reenact different people from the past.  Visit the events page to learn more.

Re-enactor Workshop: FREE

For those interested in learning how to re-enact a person from the past, this is the workshop for you.  Learn from some of the very best in the reenactment world.  You will learn how to do dances from the 1800s, how soldiers lived in the 1800s, how to act,  and how to re-enact different people from the past.

No previous experience is necessary and this is a workshop where you can learn, have some fun and start to dream of the person you wished you had met from the past and how to represent them to the public.

This workshop is FREE.

10:15am to 12pm: Dance with Irene Ujda, Director of Yesteryears Dance

12pm to 1pm: lunch break (potluck lunch, bring an item to share)

1pm to 2pm: The Life of a Soldado: History and Clothing (Civilians and Soldiers) – taught by Steve Clugston

2pm to 3:30pm: Acting and Reenacting – taught by Bruce Buonauro (Father Serra) and Peter Romero

    Guided Tours of the Adobe Museum are Offered (Adobe is only open for guided tours):
    • First Thursday and Friday of Each Month
    • Every Saturday, Sunday, and Wednesday
    • Tours are at 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm
    • No Reservations Needed for Parties Under 10
    • Tours del adobe están disponibles en español el segundo domingo de cada mes
    • Adobe tours available in Spanish the 2nd Sunday of each month
