Adobe featured in Mural at Dominguez Hills

On September 9th California State University, Dominguez Hills unveiled “Manifest Diversity,” a mural that was created by students under the guidance of muralist Eliseo Art Silva. The large-scale work is now on view in the Multicultural Center with its depiction of a multi-ethnic view of American history from Pre-Colombian Native Americans to the present-day struggle for social justice in health care, immigrant rights, and other issues of social justice. When viewed from a distance, the shapes, details and colors of the singular images combine to form the profiles of Sojourner Trust, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Cesar Chavez, President Obama and Filipino patriot Dr. Jose Rizal. It is a magnificent work and it is an honor for the Adobe and the Dominguez family to be depicted in the mural. Please see the  photos to see the mural and the Adobe depicted within it.
