President’s Notebook Interview

The Dominguez Rancho Adobe Museum had a rare opportunity to showcase everything it does in an interview with President Garcia at Cal State University, Dominguez Hills in the President’s Notebook program featured on cable channels in LA and Orange County.  Museum Executive Director, Alison Bruesehoff, had a one-on-one interview with President Garcia talking about what is happening at the Museum.  To see the interview, you can go to YouTube or lick on this link: President’s Notebook Interview.

Museum featured in “Peaceful Places: Los Angeles

The Dominguez Rancho Adobe Museum is featured in a book titled “Peaceful Places: Los Angeles” by Laura Randall.  The Rancho is one of the chapters and received 3 stars out of 3 stars for being a peaceful and interesting place to visit.  You can purchase the book on or a signed copy at the Museum’s Gift Shop.

Docent Training Starts September 12th

September 12th marks the start of the 4-class Docent training.  This is a chance to become a tour guide at the Museum sharing history with the public and with schools.  Docents present the story of the Rancho San Perdro, the Dominguez family, and the 1910 International Aviation Meet.  There are 4 classes people need to attend and all the classes are fun!

Early Aviation from 1910-1939

Join us to listen to Eric Nelson talk about aviation from 1910-1939 in LA County.  Eric will provide an overview of what was going on in aviation up to 1939 and will include aviation incidents that made the papers in early aviation history. 

This event will be held at the Western Museum of Flight at the Torrance Airport. The Museum is located at 3315 Airport Drive, Torrance, 90505.
