Archaeological Dig at the Rancho San Pedro

This Spring, the Dominguez Rancho Adobe Museum partnered with the Department of Anthropology at Cal State University, Dominguez Hills  in an archaeological dig at the Rancho San Pedro, the Rancho the Museum is located on. Students, under the direction of their professor Jerry Moore, spent their Saturdays during the months of February and March creating and excavating three archaeological pits on the upper grounds near the windmill. The students found quite a treasure trove of different clothing and building fragments. It was a great community partnership project for both the Museum and CSUDH.
